F. A. Q.

How much does an estimate cost?
Our estimates are free of charge and there is no obligation.

How long does an estimate take?
Depending on the specifics of the home or building and how many questions to be answered, an estimate can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1-1/2 hours.

Do I need to be present when the estimate is done?
Yes, someone will need to be at the location so that a technician can get inside of the structure.

What are your business hours?
We are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, except on major holidays.

Do you have insurance?
Yes, and we are happy to provide you with certificates of insurance upon request.  We have General Liability up to $2 million and workers compensation.  We will have our insurance provider send those out so that you know that we are current with our premium payments.

What is the difference between a foundation repair estimate & a foundation inspection?
A foundation repair estimate is just a written cost for foundation repair.  An inspection is usually done to determine the condition of the foundation and does not always include a cost for repairs, if needed.  An inspection report will be provided at an extra fee.

What is the advantage of using a limber cable, steel rod or other guide?
There is no advantage. If aligned properly as they are driven they follow each other.

Who should I get to inspect my foundation?
If you are trying to determine if your foundation needs repairs, sometimes calling a foundation repair company is not the way to go.  Some foundation repair companies would like your business and will say whatever they need to in order to get the job.  We never come to your property trying to sell a job, we are brutally honest. If there is aesthetic damage to the structure, then it is up to the owner to determine whether they want stabilization or not.  If there is structural damage, it is necessary. If you want to be sure you should hire a professional that works for you, such as, a registered Structural or Civil Professional Engineer trained in foundations & soils or a Licensed Real Estate Inspector.

Does the State of Texas license foundation repair or house leveling companies?
No, there are no license requirements.

What will happen to my yard & plants?
We remove and replant all vegetation, but we cannot guarantee the longevity of plants that have been moved. We leave your yard as clean as when we arrived.

What happens when I call Nova Tech Foundation Repair for an estimate?
When you call us for an estimate, we will schedule an appointment for you with an experienced foundation technician.  The technician will come out to your home and evaluate your foundation using visual references.  After evaluating your foundation, we will mail or email you a written estimate along with a computer generated drawing showing where the piles are to be placed.  If you do not need any repairs, we will let you know this as well.

Does Nova Tech Foundation Repair subcontract its work?
No.  Nova Tech Foundation Repair does not subcontract our work.  All our workers are employees and have been with our company for many years, some have been here for almost 18 years.
